(aka policies & commitments)

We’re serious about fighting exploitation in cocoa and changing the industry, together. That’s where the following frameworks + commitments + expectations come in. They help guide how we do business and hold ourselves accountable. But documents alone don’t create change...

Our teams around the world, our suppliers, our business partners and the countless other stakeholders who contribute to our value chain are the ones bringing our sweet movement for change to life every day.

Together, they help turn our commitments from words on a (web)page into actions. The policies below explain how we approach some of the most important social, environmental and governance topics behind our chunking good choc.

Plus,it takes a closer bite at how we use those insights to inform our actions and keep improving.* nomnom *

cool beans: Tony’s cocoa-specific commitments

We exist to end exploitation in cocoa, fighting poverty, child labor and deforestation. While the policies above apply across all of Tony’s operations and value chains, cocoa is (and has always been) our focus.

Through Tony’s Open Chain - our sourcing model that allows other brands to source their cocoa through our supply chain, according to Tony’s Sourcing Principles - we work with farmers, cooperatives, suppliers and other chocolate companies to help tackle the root causes of exploitation in cocoa.

The Tony’s Open Chain website plates up all the choc-tastic details on our cocoa-specific commitments, methodologies, policies and approaches to cocoa topics (like living income, child labor, traceability, sourcing, forest protection.. .. you get the gist).
